A: Look at the photo gallery for a "wide" zipper around the sides. Basically you'd stuff the bag full of something squishy like socks, compress the bag, and then zip it to keep everything bundled tight.

Bad Zippers
The zippers on the compression bags are not good. It takes several minutes of concentrated effort to get compression closed all the way. Also note that the smaller bags do not have any compression. But since the zippers are so bad on these, you can't really compress that much anyway. I do like that these have a netted front side, it makes it easy to see what's inside. I ended up getting some more expensive (like 1 medium bag for the price of this whole set) compression bags from another store and they're definitely worth the price.
