It is entirely too bitter for me. I did not enjoy it. It was a gift from my brother who wanted me to try something different. I appreciated the gift but couldn’t stand the taste. This is more for a red wine drinker who don’t mind drinking wines that’s not in the semi sweet side. I don’t plan on giving this another shot! It’s a no for me! 👎🏾

Great red blend. Smooth. Usually I drink Malbec but I get this every so often to switch it up. Pairs nicely with my couch and eating junk food.

Made in Modesto California, Apothic Dark is a red wine blend from Apothic Wines. For this review of Apothic I drank damn near the whole bottle haha According to the Apothic website, the winemaker “Boyd Morrison crafts bold, captivating Apothic blends by using only the most distinctive California grapes. From vintage to vintage, Boyd lets the character and flavor of the individual varietals guide the shape of each blend.” It's very sharp and some say bitter, honestly I tagged hints of whisky as crazy as that sounds. I paired this with rack of lamb for a special occasion and it went flawlessly. Would most certainly recommend again and again.

My favorite red wine from a grocery store. It is such a nice flavor and the price is not bad! It's slightly bitter but in the best way possible, pairs so good with a steak or some spaghetti. One of my go to red wines. I definitely recommend and will continue to repurchase.
