Applegate Natural Uncured Turkey Hot Dog - 10oz

While this 1 gram of saturated fat is heart healthy, the 470 mg of salt is not. How about less salt.

Weird texture and not our favorite hot dogs. I appreciate the clean ingredients but the texture could be improved.

These hot dogs taste better than any other I've had before. I feel way better about feeding these to my family than many of the other kinds out there. They are more expensive but well worth it when you realize you aren't getting any fillers or other yucky stuff. My kids eat these hot or cold!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm sure this is a great alternative for people that don't love traditional hot dogs, but for me, it tasted bland. It did fill me up, I was not hungry after eating this dog.

Target seems to be the only store near me selling Applegates’s conventional version of turkey hot dogs. The Whole Foods down the road sells an organic version of this for $2 more. The difference? If you’re in the mood for “junky” hot dog taste, go with this one. The junkiness makes it great for pairing it with something else such as bread/wrapper, loads of condiments, or even in a salad. I still buy the organic version from Whole Foods, which has superior seasoning and texture, making it perfect when eating it by itself as a zero carb keto meal. Since turkey hot dogs are among my main protein sources, I buy both versions. In my fridge, I keep 3 of these (due to Target’s lower price point of $6.29) along with 1 of the organic version from Whole Foods ($8.29). Overall, Target doesn’t disappoint because they provide great value for this product. It’s one of the many reasons why it’s so easy to be a loyal Target customer!

As picky hot dog people, this could have gone both ways but we were pleasantly surprised at how good these were. They tasted great! I didn't get that sleepy turkey feeing afterward! I made some bacon-wrapped hot dogs at first but then I thought they would make a good chilli since the flavor is so strong and it really gave it a nice tangy flavor! If you don't like bland hot dogs, these are the way to go!

I liked that this hot dog was made out of turkey and all natural. They have a great smokey flavor and aren't too salty like a lot of hot dogs. At first, I didn't like the taste because I was expecting it to taste like a regular hot dog, but the smokey taste grew on me over time. My daughter seemed to like it and I like the idea that she is eating a product that is gluten free, nitrate free, no antibiotics or added hormones. The product is on the pricier side for a hot dog but I believe you pay for what to get.

Others at the picnic agreed, these aren't your average turkey dog. They have a hot dog flavor, a nice snap when you bite into them and didn't dry out during grilling.

Applegate Naturals Turkey Hot Dogs actually have pretty clean ingredients, and they taste great! We tried grilling them and boiling them, both ways were delicious.
