Q: Did anyone who bought this table experience a toxic smell when you took it out of it's packaging? If so, what did you do about it?

A: The smell could be from formaldehyde which is commonly used in furniture manufacturing. Dissolve 1 tbsp. of baking soda into a cup of warm water. Moisten a clean cloth with the mixture. Wipe down the furniture with the cloth. The baking soda mixture should absorb the chemical smell. Hope this helps.

It’s good for the price, but I have to constantly tighten the legs or else it starts to wobble. I also intended to paint the legs to match my kitchen cabinets, but only the top seems to be made of solid wood; the legs are that particle board stuff. I still think it’s nicer than counter height tables I’ve had in the past. You’ll get exactly what the product images show.

Exactly what I wanted
I've been looking for a black, counter-height table (not bar height- they are different) for games and puzzles in a room with windows that are higher than usual. Perfect counter height table
I am a professional abstract artist and this counter height table is perfect for my art studio. I bought 3 of them to put in my studio and it makes painting so much easier. I like having flat surfaces in addition to easels for different perspective and the tables are useful for that. They allow me to have several paintings in progress. In addition, the counter height is a big help with my back as I I don't have to bend, all hunched over. They are well made, very easy to put the legs on the table top, and generously sized.
