Q: I bought a 12 inch thick mattress for the bottom before we decided to purchase these bunk beds...has anyone used a mattress this thick without issue? (I know that they recommend a 6-8 inch mattress)
A: Box said you cannot use a foam mattress. Slats are too far apart. This wasn't obvious until after we purchased.
submitted byJane - 3 years agoA: Shannon. Thank you for your interest in the Avery Bunk Bed. We recommend that you do not use a 12" mattress. We suggest that you do not use any mattress thicker than 8" with this product.

Q: Hi, Is this made of solid wood or particle boards/MDF/Veneers ? How much weight can it hold ? Thanks
A: This is made of Pine Wood. Each bed holds 300 lbs
submitted byPowell - 8 years agoBrand expertA: It is solid wood but but the painted white boards looked terrible! Knots were not sanded well, primed & cracking. We returned it as soon as we opened it. Sad discovery!
