Good M/M Hockey Romance
This was a really good story and if I was rating it based on just the story, it would definitely be a five star read but the way that part one of the book was organized in terms of the timeframe of the chapters in my opinion, made it slightly confusing and hard to follow the storyline so I'm giving it four stars instead. But I like I said, I did really enjoy the story itself. Ash and Eli are so cute together and Eli using all of the Finnish words when talking to Ash and what they meant was adorable. I also loved when the meaning of Ash's Honeysuckle tattoo was revealed, that was so sweet! One of my favorite parts was in chapter 28 when Ash and Eli were cooking breakfast together and it turned into a spicy/fade to black scene ending with Ash on the kitchen counter. I love a good spicy kitchen counter scene. These are a few of my favorite lines/quotes from "Bar Down" “Ash, did you have someone particular in mind?” she asks gently, and for a second I almost want to tell her everything. I think I have a huge crush on one of my best friends and I don’t know what to do about it. Need advice, please and thank you." {Prologue, Page 13} "I blink a few times to make sure I’m not imagining things. While I may have pictured Eli in the shower earlier, I didn’t think I had magical conjuring powers. He’s here, and somehow, he’s n**ed too. I stare at him and blink some more before reaching out and pinching his cheek." {Chapter 5, Page 55} "This absolute goofball of a man has barrelled into my life and made everything better. He’s made me better. It feels like I’m falling more and more in love with him each day, and there’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be than by his side." {Epilogue, Page 299} Overall, this book is a great choice for hockey and hockey romance fans and I will be sure to check out more of Stef's books in the future.
