Basil Hayden is my favorite bourbon at its price point! I like it as a sipping drink, but I also love to throw it in a cocktail, because I think it’s much smoother than other whisky around its quality, without the harsh burn. The finishing flavor is a little sweet and the bottle is cute, too.

Got this bottle as a birthday gift, so I was definitely excited to try it for the first time! Told my friend who bought it for me that I’d wait to drink it with him. After cracking it open and taking my first sip, I’m sorry to admit, he missed out! Definitely a smooth tasting bourbon, great for sipping neat, like I prefer bourbon. Had always heard great things about it, and I definitely was not disappointed! Will definitely add another bottle to my collection.
