Book Synopsis
A guide to the best hikes and microbreweries in the cities and on the islands of Atlantic Canada
Beer lovers and hiking enthusiasts: these 35 carefully selected Atlantic Canada hikes are for you! Each hike leads through stunning scenery, and features a nearby brewery or a brewpub where a refreshing local craft beer awaits. This full-color guidebook showcases a wide variety of fun beer hikes in New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, from easy walks to moderate rambles and strenuous climbs. They wind through wildflower meadows and along coastal cliffs, from the fog-kissed trails of Cape Breton Island to the remote Long Range Mountains, with a salty breeze and storybook views all along the way.
Hike descriptions include details on access, difficulty, duration, points of interest, history and, at trail's end, a recommended beer with notes on its appearance, aroma and taste. You'll also get an insider's look at each brewery and meet their creative and passionate craftspeople. Beer. Hiking. Atlantic Canada. Three cheers to that!
