Beneath the Vines - by Daniel Stirling (Hardcover)

Book Synopsis

Some secrets are buried. Others are waiting to be found.

Henry's time in Tuscany brings him into the orbit of the Rossi family and Rossalba, their vineyard rooted in generations of family history. It also brings him to Matteo Rossi. Matteo is devoted to his family's land and the life built around it. As Henry is drawn deeper into the rhythms of the vineyard, the attraction between the two men becomes increasingly difficult to ignore. But something else is taking hold at Rossalba. Acts of vandalism escalate into threats, and what first appears to be an attack on the vineyard begins to expose questions reaching far beyon the present.

Searching for answers, Henry and Matteo uncover a network of hidden tunnels beneath the Rossi property, old letters and records, and traces of a family history stretching back to World War II. Their Investigation reveals a past shaped by resistance, escape, sacrifice, and secrets carried across generations--and a present-day vendetta that threatens not only Rossalba, but everyone connected to it. As the danger closes in, Henry and Matteo must unravel what happened before the past is rewritten for them--with devastating consequences.
