    Obnoxious, cartoonish. Too young.

    I bought this for my bright 4.5-year-old thinking it would challenge her reading and writing skills. The reading and writing skills are more like preschool-level, not kindergarten. The illustrations are obnoxious, and often too cartoonish for a child to know what they are. Not enough opportunities to actually learn the letters through tracing. And "hidden picture" puzzles are annoying and illogical. Waste of time. Not learning real skills. I thought this would promote independent learning, but instead I'm helping my daughter search for the hamburger hidden in the rug.

    Got this for our 5yo preschooler, who is going to Kindergarten in 6 months. I would say this workbook is more for preschooler..If you compare highlights preschool and this, 80% of the contents are the same.
