Bothy Threads Curious Hen XHD17 Counted Cross Stitch Kit

Stitch Curious Hen, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a fluffy grey-and-white hen with a red comb peers out with her head cocked to one side. A little stitcher's folklore: hens can recognise more than a hundred faces, and they 'talk' to their chicks while still in the egg. Why this kit: based on artwork by Hannah Dale of Wrendale Designs, it is stitched on Aida printed with Bothy Threads' exclusive speckled background. Kit includes: 14-count Zweigart Aida printed with an exclusive speckled background, pre-sorted stranded cottons, needles and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: full cross stitches, a few fractionals, back stitch and two French knots. A frame is not included. Stitch the hen in cross stitch from the centre of the chart, add fractionals where shown, then the feathers in back stitch and the two French knots. Finished size: 26×26 cm (10.2×10.2 in). A characterful hen for a farmhouse kitchen.
