Heckin yum

Fresh and delicious
After reading so many negative reviews I was wary of buying this product. But I found a bag that had fresh looking sprouts inside and an acceptable expiration date and took a chance. I also knew I would be cutting the sprouts in half so I would see any potential issues before I prepared them. The sprouts I bought were fresh and clean. I tossed them in a bowl with a pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil and after a couple of minutes in the microwave they were ready to serve with teriyaki salmon and cranberry couscous. Delicious!

Very disappointed. Bought 2 bags for Christmas dinner, had to throw out a quarter of them. Some had black spots and some had some mushy leaves on them. Had to pull off many layers. Didn’t boil in the bag and I’m glad I didn’t because you can’t really tell if they’re good that way.

Lots of worms
Almost all from 2 bags had cabbage worms. They’re sold as ready to steam and serve. Thankfully I wanted to roast them and found how bad they were from cutting in half. The few we salvaged were good.

Live bugs, larvae, winged inspects and holes throughout
Live bugs, larvae, winged inspects and hokes throughout — this is the second bag i have purchased recently with this issue. If you cut into the sprouts, the bugs go all the way inside, not just on the outer leaves. Now I’m seeing there are multiple other customer complaints with the same issue. WHY ARE THESE ON THE SHELF FOR SALE!?!? If someone steamed these in the bag and ate them, the what? This is a food safety issue that is being ignored. Absolutely disgusting.

Rotten produce with bugs
These were rotten and had bugs in them. Do not buy. Target must start buying their produce from better sources!! It was disgusting! I opened it within an hour of picking up the order. Went straight home (live about 20 min away)… and unloaded then started cooking and was now missing a main ingredient in a dish I was preparing for a Friendsgiving. Knew I didn’t have time to take it back and go get it somewhere else. Unfortunately not able to make the dish I had planned so carefully for. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

infested with insect frass
There was way too much insect frass (poop) in my current bag of brussels sprout. The amount that I had to trim off and discards was 4.5 ounces. Brussels sprouts are already expensive and I spent way too much time examining each sprout and cutting off the bad parts. Target should never have purchased these for resale.
