About the Author



Mark Gelernter is an American academic, architectural historian, and writer. He is Dean Emeritus of the College of Architecture and Planning of the University of Colorado, Denver. Dr. Gelernter is the author of numerous articles on architectural history, theory, and education, as well as two books, Sources of Architectural Form: A Critical History of Western Design Theory (Manchester University Press, 1995) and A History of American Architecture: Buildings in Their Cultural and Technological Context (University Press of New England, 2001).
