[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ugh! My gripe with Clearblue isn’t even in what most people complain about, like evap lines or false positives. My issue is that even when I take a test within its expiration window, I always get at least one that is defective or does not develop, as you can see in the first test above. This typically happens when I pee on the test directly instead of dipping it, but I’ve also encountered this with dipping the test before. For the bottom test, I dipped it and it developed fully in about a minute. The line is faint because I took this in the afternoon, but it is positive (confirmed by my doc). I do like the longer stick and curved line, but what’s the point of those features if the test won’t develop when you pee on it directly? I hope that Clearblue can fix this issue—as a less expensive test I think they could corner the market, but as for now I will stick to their competitor or use their digital tests only.
