I bought this and anoter set of bookends to compare. Any time my daughter (2 years old) pulled out a book, the books would fall down and knock over the bookends. They are super cute, but as functional as I needed them to be.

Not wood as listed, only partially so. Also looks like a heart.
The base is wood and the cloud is MDF. I ordered these because they were listed as wood only. I opened the box and was immediately hit with a strong chemical smell. I will be returning and looking for something that is actually real wood. Another complaint is that one side very much looks like a heart. If you aren’t using them very close together that one is just going to look like a heart to anyone. Decent weight for what they are and they are cute, but between these two problems I will be returning.
