Counter Taco Mac & Cheese - 20oz

Soo good!

The Preface: I was really excited to try this. So sure that I would love it, I bought two of the larger-sized meals (both Taco Mac & Cheese) for just the two of us for dinner, plus a healthy-sized salad. The Good: Pasta was cooked fairly well to a desirable tenderness. The Bad: We ended up eating about half of just one of the trays between the both of us. For me, I felt like it was over-spiced & over-seasoned. Now, let me just say that I love both spices and seasonings (and I am usually all for an abundance of both at each stage of preparing and cooking the meal. My all time favorite style of cooking is hands down easily Cajan / Creol. To me, this was a different type of heavy-handed kitchen craft. There's a disconnect between the spice and flavor profile and the expectation of what the food was imagined to have tasted like... and this was not a good kind of surprise. The heat and flavor didn't match any preconceived notions and did not connect with the meal even if I kept an open mind and pushed any bias out of my mind. There was so much spice & seasoning, it became the meal itself, while the Mac and cheese were demoted to a supporting role at best. I also found it lacking in cheesy yummy-ness. While I'm fairly certain there was some kind of cheese in there (per the box), I couldn't tell by taste or texture. The Verdict: This is definitely something that I will skipping over next time.

Very very good! Was not heavy feeling at all. Noodles weren't over cooked and meat is good quality.!!

Tried it randomly with my Fiancé one day. It is so delicious that I have gotten it more than one time after great meal very filling and shareable.

I cannot rave about Counter meals enough!! They are the perfect high protein, easy, delicious meals. Every day that I make one of these meals, all my coworkers ask what im eating. It tastes as good as it smells and I hope they never go away. I’ve put so many people on these meals and no one has been disappointed.

So happy i found these. Bomb! So convenient on lazy days to jsut grab something that’s macro friendly and high protein. The taco Mac is probably my fav.

Another winner from Counter! The Taco Mac is packed with flavor and doesn’t taste like a typical “healthy” frozen meal. The seasoned beef, creamy queso, and pasta all come together perfectly, and it’s hard to believe you’re getting 30g of protein for only 350 calories. It heats up quickly, keeps me full for hours, and satisfies those comfort food cravings without the guilt. This has definitely earned a permanent spot in my freezer!

BEST FROZEN MEAL ON THE MARKET. Excuse my French, but this ish is so good. Fantastic with an avocado. I will never stop buying it if you never stop selling it!

I really enjoyed this. Sometimes I get burnt out on cooking meals from scratch and want something quick but everything is always so unhealthy, this was a decent frozen meal macro wise and also tasted good. My husband also enjoyed it.
