Released in 1977 on Led Zeppelin's Swan Song Records, It Takes One To Know One found Detective pushing their swaggering hard rock even further, with frontman Michael Des Barres and former Yes keyboardist Tony Kaye at the helm. Blending muscular riffs, blues-soaked grooves, and a touch of glam, the album cemented the band's reputation as one of Swan Song's fiercest signings. This limited edition reissue is pressed on lavender vinyl, newly remastered by Dave Gardner, and packaged with updated artwork plus a fold-out insert. A long-overlooked gem of '70s rock, finally back in print with the care it deserves.
