Different from any read (in a great way) I ate it up!! I love that this was a spooky, mysterious, and spicy read. I love the characters and their personalities. They all fit together and the story just flows. The plot was fun and meaningtul to the overall story. A little fluff, but mostly the main story was center stage. I hate that this is a cliff hanger, but it just leaves me wanting to be more-that we will hopefully get soon! It was exciting, thrilling, and sexy all wrapped up with a tendril of smoke! Beautiful read!

“Devour Me” is Dr. Emily Rath’s newest addition to her Emilyverse world. It is the first book in the paranormal series. Birdie is a broke history PhD candidate that gets a research position on Burr Island, off the coast of New England, when her previous scheduled position falls through. Her best friend is from Burr Island ands finds her a job and a place to live through her uncle, Jasper. Jasper owns a shop called Salt & Sage and is the leader of the witches coven on the island. Dàinn is an immortal wraith that is bound to Ludmilla, another witch who is not quite what she seems. Dàinn tries to devour Jasper’s soul, on Ludmilla’s orders, but is stopped by Bridie. And the fun begins. “Devour Me” is the beginning of a new world by Dr Rath. This book charts new territory with Dr Rath’s signature multiple person, why choose storyline. I like how the book starts out with a dedication to one of the first people put to death as a witch and the possible reasons it happened. I know minimal about witches and their covens, so I feel like I learned a bit about the subject. This book kept me enthralled from the first page and I didn’t want to put it down until the last one. Unfortunately, the last page ends with a cliffhanger and I have to wait to see what happens. If this series is similar, in its own way, to the “Second Sons” series, one definable needs to read these books in order and the wild ride is only beginning. Readers who enjoy paranormal, MMF, why choose polyamory romances should put this book on the top of their To Be Read pile and start it as soon as possible.
