This Christmas in a trendy downtown arts district, Jessica dreams of finding a way of breaking her streak. Each December, one of her ex-boyfriends has gotten married-to someone else. She now has a reputation as a Christmas Lucky Charm because, after she dates a guy, his next girlfriend becomes his true love and his wife. She's had enough of being her neighborhood's lucky charm. It has happened-six times? More? Often enough that Jessica isn't sure if a man wants to date her or is using her as a chance to move on to his happily ever after. Mitch Jameson is the new art gallery owner. He and his business partner/brother move in and display their unique works of art. When he asks Jessica to cater his gallery's seasonal events from her artisan pastry shop, they spark an immediate connection. Not wanting to be a guy's lucky charm once again, Jessica puts on the brakes. Mitch doesn't believe in it, but he and Jessica agree to fake date for all the holiday events, so neither of them has to go alone. But soon, it isn't fake anymore, and just as Jessica starts to believes in their relationship, Mitch's ex-girlfriend comes home after three years of international travel and photography. And she wants to pick up where the two of them left off. Jessica believes her Christmas Lucky Charm curse has kicked in again, bringing Mitch his true love just in time for the holidays. But Mitch knows in his heart, that his true love is-and always will be-Jessica.
