Even though the book and events were portrayed in the 1800s, it is amazing with its parallels to today's world! Family squabbles, jealousy, competition, and ultimately sin are timeless and this fiction exemplifies that and elevates it to relatable events. This is a MUST READ story that is inspiring, yet very revealing in our natural real-life emotions! Without spoiling the crux of the book, one can only acknowledge that... love conquers all!
