Ginger & Elvis
Gingers story is similar to Priscilla’s as far as how Elvis treated them. He was kind of controlling, had double standards, a bad temper (which he publicly admitted to) and was physically abusive when he couldn’t get his way. I’m very much interested in Elvis’ diet and his prescription drug use and this book covers a lot of that. Elvis’ eating habits were outrageous according to this book.. he was adding tons of salt to food that was probably already salty, complained about being overweight while eating ice cream, yet would get angry if anyone who wasn’t a Dr made suggestions to him. Elvis also seemed very romantic and generous and I’m sure being with him was like walking on eggshells. This book was a great read and I loved the stories on Lisa Marie. That is a horrible picture of Elvis on the cover of the book.
