About the Author

Millicent Simmonds is an actress, activist, and avid reader. She has starred in blockbusters like A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place Part II, and Wonderstruck, among many others. She has won two Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards and been nominated for a BAFTA--and she is the first Deaf actor to be nominated for each of those awards. She has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, and The Kelly Clarkson Show and in Teen Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Seventeen, Entertainment Weekly, and Glamour, among many other outlets. She currently splits her time between Utah and New York.
