Q: Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do you use the liners when you want to use this as a swim diaper?
A: Not a dumb question at all! When using the Outer for swim you want to use it on its own with nothing inside. Meaning no absorbent material. (Otherwise it just absorbs the pool or ocean that the baby is in). Hope that helps!

Q: We use disposable diapers but baby regularly pees through at night. We use overnight diapers plus an extra absorbancy pad, and he still manages to pee through! Will the out layer fit over?
A: Hi! Our Outers will most definitely fit over an overnight diaper plus extra pad. We even recommend adding 2 pads for extra heavy wetters. Hope that helps!

Q: Do these work as pocket diapers? Can I put an overnight pad in the pocket?
A: I’m afraid not. Our Outers do not have pockets.

Q: What is the difference between size 1 and size 2 of these diapers? How fast do you think they will grow out of the first size?
A: Great question! Size 1 fits babies weighing approx 7-17lbs and Size 2 from approx 18lbs till they potty train. As for what that means in ages, it’s hard to say as babies are born at different sizes and grow at drastically different rates, but you can generally expect them to be in Size 1 until they are between 6-12 months. Q: I am using a cloth diaper service in my neighbrhood but they told me to invest in some reusable diaper covers. Do you know if these diaper covers would work if I'm not using Esembly inner diapers?
A: Excellent question! Yes, our Outers will work perfectly with the prefolds that you're receiving from your diaper service. In fact, prior to launching Esembly we ran a cloth diaper service in NYC for 13 years. All of our Esembly products were designed and formulated based on what we learned washing diapers and from the thousands of service families we worked with over the years.

Q: Can these diaper covers be used with other cloth reusable diapers?
A: Our Outers were designed to work with our Inners as well as prefolds, flats, fitteds and contours. If there is another type of diaper you're considering, let us know the brand/style and we'd be happy to let you know if the are compatible. Thank you!
