About the Author



Benjamin D. Crowe, Ph.D. (2004), Tulane University, is Permanent Lecturer in Philosophy at Boston University. He has published articles, monographs, and book chapters on classical German philosophy, and has translated Fichte's Lectures on the Theory of Ethics (1812) (SUNY, 2016).

Gabriel Gottlieb is Professor of Philosophy at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has published numerous articles on Fichte's philosophy, and he is the editor of Fichte's Foundations of Natural Right: A Critical Guide (Cambridge University Press, 2016).
