Description

Book Synopsis

Flash Gordon Quarterly is an anthology series featuring fresh takes on the world of Flash Gordon and his supporting cast.

Superstar creators blast off to explore Flash Gordon's legacy! The star-studded anthology series continues with brand-new stories from new and established creators! Frank Tieri and Michael Sta Maria bring back the classics with a lost tale of Flash and the "Attack of the Shark Men"! Mad Cave Studios 2019 Talent Search winner David Hazan (Nottingham) pairs with legacy artist Manuel Garcia for a moving -- and exhilarating -- exploration of Hans Zarkov's Jewish heritage. Plus, Marc Andreyko and Igor Lima continue their Lovecraftian horror version of Flash Gordon -- no longer a spacefaring hero, but the son of a writer who predicted the world's doom -- in their feature story finale to "The Madness of M'nnnngh"! This and other "Flash Fiction" stories -- wholly original takes on classic Flash Gordon characters in new genres and settings -- await you. There's a Flash for everyone!

About the Author

David Hazan is a comic book writer and editor based in Melbourne, Australia. He is the writer and creator of the hit series Nottingham from Mad Cave Studios and a winner of the Mad Cave Studios 2019 Talent Search. David's clients include Mad Cave Studios, Gestalt Comics, and more.

I draw and, sometimes write, comic books. I complain a lot but I love it and can't imagine not doing it. I've been lucky enough to work with a lot of different publishers on different and varied type stuff. Some of those publishers are TKO, DARK HORSE, IDW, TOP SHELF, BOOM!, A WAVE BLUE WORLD, IMAGE (back up type stuff), MAD CAVE, SCOUT, etc. As well as a heavy assortment of smaller indy publishers.

Eisner losing writer of TV, video games, comics, and bad checks. Voted "The Most Beloved Man in Comics" 12 years in a row. Leave the gun, take the cannoli. Has written Wolverine, Godzilla, Harley Quinn, Marvel Vs Capcom, etc.

Amy Chase (she/her) is a writer from Southern California who specializes in horror, fantasy, and lots of puns. Her body of work includes official stories for beloved properties like Dungeons & Dragons, My Little Pony, Archie Horror, and Ghostbusters, in formats ranging from comics and prose to tarot decks. Outside of writing, Amy is an avid tabletop gamer, a frog mom, and a roller derby player by the name of Tuffy the Vampire Skater.

A native of Salamanca, Spain, Manuel Garcia started his career drawing Robin #92 and The Spectre #7 for DC Comics, before doing his first work for Marvel, The Avengers #44-47. He would go on to draw numerous books for both companies, including Thunderbolts, Spider-Man: Breakout, Iron Man: Noir, Countdown, All-Flash, and many more. Large multimedia companies have sought Manuel's services in the past few years, including Sideshow (for their Court of the Dead books) and Blizzard Entertainment (for their Hearthstone and Starcraft books). Manuel's most recent work includes What If? Venom, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Daredevil, Lords of Empyre, and Phases of Moon Knight.
