Fashionable folding chair

I like the wood slats as we are using as additional chairs at our dining table, so they are an upgrade to normal metal folding chairs however I noticed a few were banged up in the store. Thus, you have to handle them with care when storing. The seat is comfortable and the closing mechanism is different from normal folding chairs but fold up easy.
Contains lead

Really, is there a need to have lead in a wood chair? Just crazy. Wouldnt let kids near it. Sometimes prop 65 warnings are annoying, but in this case, it specifies lead, so be warned!

Like that they are real looking dining chairs. Bought two and go great with my other two chairs. Would highly recommend.

We use the chair often and as you normally would. Things slowly started falling off the bottom of the chair (screws, washers, etc) and were unable to put the back on as it looks like they were welded together to begin with. Now I have to either try to return the crappy chair or trash it and throw $40 in the trash

Bought these for when I had guests. When setting the chairs up for the first time, the wooden back rests came clean off. Looked like they were overdrilled and the holes were so stripped it would be a a pain to repair, too. I stored them in the closet as soon as I bought them, so there was no reason for that. Not recommended. It also happened a few days after the return policy ended. Go figure.

Sturdy but small

We have a growing family so as an alternative to the regular, metal folding chairs, I thought this would be nicer. It seems very sturdy but it's definitly made for someone more petite like me. The rest of the family is 6' plus and it's certainly not made for them.
Pretty and convenient

Gorgeous looking foldable chair and is built really a sturdy. Have been using two of them consistently several times a month for the last year and have held up well!m. And because of that became a return buyer of these chairs this year! My only complaint is the “folding” action is a little awkward but once you get used to it it’s a breeze to stow these pretty chairs away until they’re ready to return to welcome new visitors. The retail price is higher than most foldable chairs (typically in the 15-25 dollar range) but the build quality shows itself well here!

These are great looking folding chairs but like several other reviewers, one had scratches across the top and the finish was damaged. I ordered online and they were brought out to my vehicle so I did not see the damage until I got them home. I was hosting a gathering that night and needed the extra seating so chose to keep them. They are very stiff and difficult to open and close. Wish I tried them out in the store before buying.

Just bought 4 chairs and returning them all. Missing screws, scratches everywhere, paint finish missing, and stains on the seats that don’t come off. Don’t waist your money with these cheap quality chairs.

I thought this looked like a great chair for $40. I grabbed one off the shelf and headed home. When I got home I was beyond disappointed to find out it was missing 2 screws. 2 very short, hard to replace, screws. This is typical for all Target furniture, and I won't be buying any morw, at any price, ever again. I don't live close to a Target so I'm stuck with this piece of junk.

The quality is bad. The front legs are bending in and the one of the legs lost its foot for floor protection. It's also really difficult to collapse and open.

Folding Chair - 3 years ago, Verified purchaser
The concept of the chair is amazing. The quality of the chair is poor. The chair wiggled too much. The quality of the chair was good but who ever put them together did a poor job. The chair is too loose and unsafe. Did not want to take the risk of someone sitting on it and falling. Returned the chair.
Sturdier than wood
5 out of 5 stars
Olivia - 3 years ago, Verified purchaser
These chairs are sturdier than flat packed wood chairs and you can't tell they fold by looking at them. Despite being made by a company with the name "Plastic" these chairs are black powder coated, heavy metal tubing and dark stained wood with a black vinyl padded seat. I unscrewed the seat from the underside and upholstered with my own fabric using an electric staple gun. They're great for additional seating at your dining table and your guests don't feel like they're sitting at the kid's table. The only downside is that they don't fold very flat for storage but we use them as our breakfast nook and to bring out on the balcony for al fresco dining.

No stars if I could - chairs were scratched and damaged all over. Waste of time. Employees should have pulled or notified prior to trying to load in my car

It’s got everything. Style, comfort, easily storable. When I say comfort obviously this is not a chair you can sleep in or use in place of a couch/love seat - it has just enough cushion to be comfortable for meals or work. If you need more consider getting a small cushion to add on it. For the price this is an awesome chair.
Glued joints - cheap quality - easy to break

TiredofTarget - 3 years ago
This chair used to cost $20 and come with strong joints. Now it’s $40, has cheap “welded” joints (they’re glued metal on metal), and will break even if you’re under the weight limit if you don’t gently lower yourself into it each time you sit. I almost impaled my myself when this thing snapped and folded up on me while fully seated with a broken member jutting up toward my delicate areas. Had the chair less than a month and there goes $40 - do yourself a favor a spend the extra $60 to buy from a real furniture retailer and not this overseas planned obsolescence crap.
