Woody stem pieces
I normally get the florets, which are only slightly more expensive, but I decided to try the cheapest version. Welp, I will stick to just the florets in the future. I got several pieces of woody stem that I could not chew and had to spit out. Very strange and unpleasant. It was like eating meat and hitting a chunk of gristle or bone.

Nothing but woody stems
First time trying & likely will be our last. We often buy Aldi brand or even Publix, so use ro stems and in fact we prefer stems; but, not woody, hard stems. Since this was our first time trying these Broccoli Cuts there is no way to know if it's a fluke, bad batch, or is this just simply sub-par quality. Oddly enough it's more expensive. We tried cooking a little longer, but that didn't help. We'll have to be hard pressed to try again although purchased 2 bags, so here's hoping the other bag is higher quality.
