The beginning of understanding who we are is knowing who God is. Author Alena Franklin is close enough to her teen years to remember what it is like to ask the question, "Who am I?" From joining friend groups to figuring out what to do after high school and even declaring what career path to pursue, teens are constantly asked to identify themselves in some way. But what if the most important thing about who a teen girl is, isn't her popularity or college major? What if it's her creator?Spend 60 devotions unpacking God's characteristics in this illustrated devotional. He is good, our helper, all-knowing, perfect, love, a good shepherd, and much more. This book is filled with
- Encouraging Scripture
- Five-minute devotions
- Colorful artwork
- Daily reflection questions
Teens won't want to put down this captivating devotional. These truths are the beginning of knowing God more and loving Him deeply. When teens know without a doubt who God is, everything else fades into the distance. While friends and plans do matter, the most important thing is who God says girls are: His daughters.
Review Quotes
"In 30 years of counseling girls, I don't think it's ever been harder to be a teenage girl. With the anxiety and mental health crises, with the chaos of the culture they're living in, so much pulls at the girls we love to try to define them. We need good guides with strong, clear, kind voices to help them discover who they are in the midst of all of that life throws at girls today. I trust Alena Pitts to be just that. Alena's voice is one that has been strengthened by struggle. Her wisdom comes from a determination to seek God and find hope no matter what life's circumstances bring. Alena Pitts is not only the voice, but the big sister that every teenage girl needs to help her discover not only who God is, but who she is, too, along the way."

THERE{4} Gathering, Founder and Visionary "This devotional is written for young women by a girl with so much depth. Alena's wrestling for God has resulted in a deep faith and confidence in God. This is a beautiful picture of God's love for each of us. He took Alena's pain and wrestling and used it to bring thousands of girls to really know God. God Is is a must read for girls of all ages (from teens to old ladies like me). I pray my own girls don't just "think" God is good--but they "know" it deeply like Alena. This book is treasured in our family!"
