Harbor 1 Drawer Nightstand (2 Pack), Blonde

I purchased two of the pecan brown color, one drawer nightstands. I would consider these to be average. I noticed during assembly that a lot of the pieces were not quite square and didn't line up well. The directions to install had several steps that made the following step impossible to complete (IE screwing in a piece, but then needing to pull the piece wider to slide another piece in - which wasn't possible after screwing in place). The wood itself feels high quality, but the finish feels cheap and inconsistent across all exposed pieces. I love the style and the wood is nice, but the final overall product didn't quite live up to what I'd hoped for. I wouldn't purchase again.

I just unpackaged these night stands and was disappointed to find large dents in the wood in several different spots. I can appreciate that these aren’t made from a hardwood species (hence the price), but I would’ve thought there would be better quality control before packaging. I decided it’s probably not worth the hassle to exchange them so I started the process of assembling. You guys: There’s a TON of assembly required for these silly little night stands. I’m also pretty annoyed that there’s no screw driver included in the package. But it gets so much worse: there’s also no pre-drilled holes for most of the screws?! Am I supposed to stop what I’m doing and go buy a power screwdriver to assemble this?! Not a great user experience in my opinion. I don’t have high hopes for these nightstands (if I ever get them assembled). I’ve already seen how easily the wood dents and even though these are going in a guest room, I doubt they will hold up to normal wear.

Bought 2 nightstands and they’re great! Wood is great quality (no particleboard/cheap materials) and the design is clean and simple.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They’re fine, really nothing to write home about. While they are real wood, they feel very lightweight and a little unstable. I’m giving them 3 stars because they were affordable and serve their purpose. We also had a delivery issue, not Plank & Beam’s fault, the delivery driver delivered to the wrong address. Plank & Beam’s customer service was very helpful and quickly rectified the situation.

The tops of both the nightstands had a bit of blotchiness in finish is the only reason I took off a star. Love the solid wood, assembly was simple and the nightstands seam solid. Happy with this purchase overall.

The walnut color is a nice medium to dark brown. Coordinates well with the bed I already have. The dimensions make it a substantial nightstand unlike others that are scaled on the small side. This was my first Plank & Beam purchase and I would definitely buy from them again, no hesitation!
