Competitive work place drama
I really enjoyed this book. It is about two different publishing houses sharing an office and their staff has to share desks. Monday and Wednesday Rebecca Blume has the desk and on Tuesday and Thursday Ben Heath has the desk. There is a cactus on the desk that neither one admits to putting there and they start leaving messages regarding it. It is funny at times. It also explores a storyline with Rebecca's mother and a very famous writer known as "the Lion". Something happens in the back story that has her not seeing her best friend for four decades. The "Lion" passes away and all the publishing houses are looking to get their hands on his unpublished works but Rose, his widow, only wants to talk with Rebecca about it. When they meet she says she wants to see Rebecca's mother, Jane at the next meeting. The past and the present meet. It is a great story. It has laughs, cries, romance, friendship and work place drama. It kept me wanting to keep reading to find out how it was going to all come together in the end. Highly recommend. Thanks to #netgalley, #gallerybooks and @lauradickermanwriter for an ARC of this great read. All opinions are my own.
