Book Synopsis

DREAMS ARE THE HARDEST DRUG

Denny Graham's been working towards this moment his entire life. But after quitting his steady A&R job to start his own record label, he finds himself drowning in debt and in need of a miracle. Enter Connor Markes--the ultimate "what if?" of the early 2000s indie scene, whose band Humbucker fell into obscurity before it could even release its debut album.

Tracking Connor down, Denny bets it all on finally recording that mythical album--but as tensions rise in the recording studio, and Denny's loan shark crashes the session, the real reason for Connor's retreat from the public eye threatens not only their careers... but their lives.

Experience the debut graphic novel by writer Eric Harburn (editor of Something is Killing the Children, The Many Deaths of Laila Starr, and more), Eisner Award-nominated artist Simon Gane (Ghost Tree, Sunburn, Paris), and letterer Aditya Bidikar (Blue In Green, The Department of Truth), marrying the grimy claustrophobia of Uncut Gems with the darkly comic crime of Get Shorty.
