Alain Aspect is a French physicist who won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics (with John Clauser & Anton Zeilinger) for his landmark experiments proving that quantum entanglement is real, settling the famous Einstein-Bohr debate and laying groundwork for quantum tech. He is known for testing Bell's inequalities, showing particles remain connected regardless of distance, and his work also contributed to laser cooling of atoms, making him a pioneer in quantum information science.
