Squirrels are opportunistic feeders and are naturally drawn to easy sources of food. By placing this high-capacity snack station in a quieter area of your yard and filling it with favorites such as ears of corn, peanuts, and fruit, you can give squirrels a dedicated feeding zone that may help draw them away from your songbird feeders. How do I install the corn ears and keep the water cups clean?
The station includes pre-installed, heavy-duty metal stakes for mounting ears of wildlife corn. Simply push or twist the core of an ear of corn onto each stake until it is secure. On the Large model, the two removable plastic cups fit into the built-in poly lumber cutouts and can be easily lifted out for rinsing, cleaning, and refilling. Why is poly lumber a better choice than traditional wood for a squirrel feeder?
Squirrels have strong teeth and claws that can wear down traditional wooden feeders, while moisture from rain and fresh foods can contribute to wood rot
