Joe Goldmark is a soulful San Francisco steel guitarist who is known for taking the pedal steel beyond the normal C&W boundries. On RIPTIDE ROCK! He collaborates with some of his favorite musicians, including Jim Campilongo, Mitch Polzak, Dave Gleason, Gary Claxton and The Twangbangers featuring Bill Kirchen, Redd Volkaert and Dallas Wayne. The album features 25 tunes split pretty evenly between hot instrumentals and cool vocals. Represented here are some of the best alt-country songs by local SF Bay Area singer/songwriters.
