Q: Does the multiplayer app work when you buy it digitally and add a code?

The only difference is that the "Physical" version has the digital code in the box. Q: I want to buy this for my wife but does it come with a game mate ? Like the Xbox did or is it separately? I'm asking because one of the pictures on display shows six people & how many ppl can play

This game supports 1-6 players, online or a on a single system, each play needs 1 joycon. Q: Not familar with video games--Looking to gift this item-- if I order "Download Code in Box" Format, what will I get? Also, what is the difference between this one and the "Digital" format? Thanks.

If you choose digital you will receive this information in an email (wich you could forward to a receipent as long as the info in email has not been redeemed). The Download Code in Box will be a physical case but instead of a game cartridge inside will be a card with instructions to redeem/download the game.
