Please sell these in Minnesota
When I lived in Illinois, I loved these. They were sold over the Quad Cities, and were my go-to chip. If anyone with the power is reading this, PLEASE start selling these in Minnesota. They will be a hit.

Things changed
Found these chips downstate Illinois four years ago. They had the hydrogenated oils, (OMG, so politically incorrect!!) and some trans fat (and i am still alive!!) which gave the chips that light, fluffy not-greasy-to-the-touch that reminded me of a local chip (Northwest Indiana) I grew up with that was forced out off the shelves, a casualty of the big-box wars. Could only get them downstate, but then found them on-line through Tartget, free-shipping if I purchased 9 each 8.5 oz bags. No problem there, since family members back home were missing the old local chip. Got my 9 bags, but was disappointed...were more like a kettle-cooked wanna-be, not the artery-clogging forbidden fruit. Called the manufacturer right away, asking what changed. First off, trans fats are now outlawed (what??), but they still used the partially hydrogenated oils. He attributed the difference not to trans fats, (remains to be seen, IMO), but instead to moving production from the original Farmington Il plant, and having to replace the old kettles from that. Still tweaking the new plant ops and new kettles. Suggested they would improve, and sent me 9 manufacturer's coupons for free orders (tax n.i.c.) . Ordered the new ones today, jury is still out, but I doubt, without the trans fats, they can replicate the old standby. Have to find a new food to kill me, I guess.

CHANGED!
Chips are thicker, almost double the amount of sodium. Wonder if they use different potatoes and /or oil. Now part of another company and made in Pennsylvania not Illinois. I liked them because they reminded me of another brand of chip that I grew up with that went out of business about 5 years ago. so sad! If you aren't expecting the original chip, they are fine.

Good Chips
My husband loves these chips. They have a good potato taste and are not too salty.
