Following up on 2023's critically-acclaimed Úpal and it's blend of technical black metal with Middle Eastern folk, Kostnatení has packed into this bizarre base an even stranger array of influences that must be heard to be believed. The band's signature "highbrow" progressive riffs, now played on a uniquely alt-tuned guitar, cleverly interweave with a mix of "lowbrow" metal genres and moody synthesizers to create the band's heaviest, most compact and violent songs to date. Continuing with the band's introspective themes, "Prílišnost (Excess)" is dedicated to the suffocating, destructive pursuit of self-perfection. Lyrically and musically, it pushes beyond all limits.
