This was a nice, large avocado with a creamy texture and good flavor. It ripened well and was easy to slice and scoop without being overly hard or mushy. The size was great for getting plenty of avocado for a meal. I would definitely buy these again.

Poor texture and signs of temperature damage
The avocados I found in store had a noticeably mottled exterior, which made me suspect they may have been exposed to improper temperatures somewhere in storage or distribution. Unfortunately, the interior texture reinforced that impression. They were oddly stringy and soft in some areas while still hard in others — not simply underripe or overripe, but uneven in a way that made the fruit unpleasant to eat. A properly ripened Hass avocado should become uniformly creamy, not simultaneously fibrous, soft, and hard. The price is good, but the quality of the ones I purchased was disappointing.

New avos are the pits!
Target used to have the very best avocados, at the very best price. But the last one I bought, from their new supplier, was so bad (all black strings inside) that I had to throw the whole thing away. Please, Target, get your avocados from another source!
