Lifetime 55 Qt High-Performance Hard Cooler, White/Pink

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Switched from another brand. I only use Lifetime coolers now. Have coolers going on 5 years now. Have never had an issue. Love the ice retention, whether bouncing around in my SXS or boat.

Purchased this today however, have not used it yet. Purchased because it had a gasket to help with sealing and keeping contents cooler. A customer at the store stated that he had a part break on his and the company sent him the part immediately. Has great features like bottle opener and it can be locked. Would have liked to have a net on the back of the lid for storage of items so they could remain dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a Truck Driver and I bought this to store cold drinks and fresh foods while on the road. I like the durability and latching system. The only thing that I don’t like is the white color gets dirty quickly, especially as a Truck Driver always in contact with grease. Just a word of advice to other Truck Drivers: understand that the unit will be super heavy once all the products and ice are in there. It will be difficult to remove from your truck unless you empty out the excess water and some of the products first. So consider it more of a semi-permanent furniture piece in your truck (also works as flat table top). I sort of wish i had gotten a bit smaller unit so i could remove it from the truck easily when camping/picnicking outside during my rest periods (i only drive 3 days a week), but at the same time, any smaller and i wouldn't be able to fit much according to the 2:1 ice:food/drink recommended ratio. Also, the advertised “7day” ice retention is not applicable to real world situations…i try to put a flat block of ice on very bottom and then cubed ice in between products and i get 3 days of super ice cold drinks.. once you get to day 4, make sure to remove some of the excess water to keep the remaining ice from melting off too quickly. But items will stay cold for upto 5 days and remain somewhat cool (w out any ice left) throughout day 6 and 7. For best results, drain excess water at least every other day and top off ice every second or third day! Good product for the price since I couldn’t afford to pay 2.5X this price for a YETI or 4X the price for a plug in.

Purchased for a family trip. Was mostly stored indoors at motels. Ice melted quickly, within 3 days. Definitely does not live up to the advertised 7 day ice retention. Decent price for bear-resistance, but only supports 1 center lock.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have had this cooler for a few years, it has been amazing!!!! the hndle was lost when my daughter had a major head on collision. That was the only thing with the exception of a small gouge i the top of the cooler. Al l i wanted was a replacement handle for the cooler. Lifetime, instead of just sending a replacement handle sent a complete new cooler, hats off to them and their service. You have a LIFETIEcustomer here!!!!

I received this cooler for Christmas in 2020. I only use this cooler for keeping my Venison on ice before I take it to the processor because I live in Florida, otherwise it sits in the garage. This year the flies got into my meat because of the lid warped so bad. I contacted Lifetime and they said " sorry" it out of warranty but we can sell you a new seal and straps. Like that's gonna help !! The lid is warped really bad. Lifetime should be ashamed of themselves to even sell this kind of Garbage.. I will stick to my Yeti coolers that are well over 10 years old and never will I purchase another Lifetime product

I just bought the cooler....looks well made.

I haven't used this yet but it is replacing a 30 year old cooler that just doesn't keep ice in it very long. This cooler has LOTS of insulation and should keep ice 3 times longer than our current cooler. The top is very sturdy and I can sit on it at the camp site.

A very good cooler when it is new, after that you have to work on it to do what it used to do. The top warps, the corners curl up and don't seal. The top of the front wall wants to warp inward which makes the gasket not seal at that point. So, first thing is you never ever keep the latches locked unless you are using it. I use wide wood clamps at the corners to clamp the corners down with a thick rag in the middle by the lock area to keep it from closing at that point and set it out in the sun but protect the straps from the sun with some kind of covering. Before I close the lid for the clamps, I use an expanding type of clamp to push the top front out from the inside to try and reverse that warping. I put a strip of wood across the inside back of the cooler for the clamp so as not to push the back out of shape, also use a short piece of something for the front of the clamp so not to just dent the inside front but push it out. Like I said, you have to work on it to make it a worthwhile cooler!

The LID WILL WARP and will lose a good seal causing it not to be as effective at holding ice. I replaced it under a warranty claim, asked about replacing again two years later because both front corners are once gain warped. Lifetime told me they could not repalce it again. The best they they could do was offer a 20% discount to purchase a new cooler. Save your money and buy a cooler that will last! These are great until the lids warp then they are not. The cooler was never stored in the direct sun. It is evidently a desing flaw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 28 quart cooler for a road trip. The 28 quart fit perfectly on my passenger seat. Made for easy access when driving. I used frozen water bottles for cooling. Bonus is you can have ice cold water going down the road without having to stop at a store. I was at my destination for 4 days after stopping I kept the cooler inside the house I was at.. Getting ready to leave I checked the cooler. All the frozen water bottles were still frozen. It took me three days to get home. On the last day of my trip the frozen bottles were noo longer frozen so I bought a bag of ice to keep everything cold. Do the math 1 day driving there 4 days staying there. 3 days traveling back since I was picking up my other camper. So I can say frozen water bottles stayed frozen for 7 days. Real world test buy a new to me buying a cooler. I am now a very loyal customer and will buy nothing but lifetime cooler’s. Yes they are a little bit more expensive than the other ones but if you factor in the price of ice and having to replace the other ones you can’t go wrong. Now throw out that cheap cooler and go get yourself a new lifetime cooler!

This is the second cooler of the exact kind that I’ve bought. The first one held up perfectly and has a phenomenal seal. I bought a second (and my first is still working great!). Will likely buy another one when I finally need a 3rd
