The quality of these lamps are amazing, and the cord cover being included is a bonus. The lamp can be hard-wired, or be used as a plug-in, as I have done in my bedroom. The antique brass is a nice finish. It is modern enough without being too bright and gold. The shape of the shade tends toward modern, rather than traditional, which is exactly what I wanted. They were incredibly easy to mount.
