About the Author

Simone van der Vlugt nació en Horn (Países Bajos) en 1966 y comenzó a escribir siendo muy joven. Es una de las autoras de novela histórica más reconocidas de su país. Su otra especialidad es el thriller psicológico, género que la ha llevado asimismo a consagrarse en todo el mundo. Sus novelas han sido traducidas a más de quince idiomas y publicadas en veinte países, y han recibido diferentes galardones, como el NS Publieks Prize o el Alkmaar Culture Prize. Actualmente, vive con su marido y sus dos hijos en Alkmaar.
