Stitch Christmas Composition, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a festive sampler of little Christmas motifs: golden bells with a red bow, a gingerbread house, a nutcracker, ice skates, candles, cupcakes, a cardinal, a hot chocolate mug, candy canes, presents and gingerbread men. A little stitcher's folklore: families once stitched a new Christmas motif each December, and a finished sampler was said to hold every happy Christmas of the house. Why this kit: a cheerful, varied design with 53 colours — lots of small motifs make it fun and satisfying to stitch. Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 53 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included. Stitch one motif at a time, starting with the bells and gingerbread house, then the smaller treats and decorations, using the partially coloured chart. Finished size: 25×35 cm (9.8×13.8 in). A festive sampler to bring out every December and a lovely Christmas gift.
