LumaBase Solar Lantern with Shepherd's Hook - Black

This is definitely NOT a solar lamp worth the price. It's poorly designed, in some Crucially important ways. The method of accessing the battery involves unscrewing the round "hanging hook" at the top of the lantern. This hook (and its screw base) is a very cheap, lightweight plastic material. A few days in outside weather conditions (heat and rain), and it becomes brittle, and breaks off, when trying to unscrew the top, to Change the battery. In fact, on the brand new lantern I JUST purchased, The hook BROKE, the first time I attempted to screw it in, after accessing the "on switch", located in the battery compartment in the top/lid area. Also, the top portion (where the battery/power source is located) does not fit securely to the lantern base, leaving a slight "gap" between the two parts. This allows moisture into the lantern, which in turn allows rust/corrosion to develop. This is an Attractive solar lantern, and in the picture (and in the actual cost) does not seem "cheap"...but in actuality, it IS cheap, and not worth the money.
