Book Synopsis

Inspired by the true-life unsolved missing person case, this debut novel is a compulsively readable atmospheric thriller that combines the chilling tension of true crime with the skillful imagination of an island native.

Monique Daly was a teenager when she escaped Nantucket twenty-five years ago, leaving behind her alcoholic father, memories of her dead mother, and a deeply buried dark secret from one salt-water-blasted winter night.

Moni's come home to bury her father and discovers hidden truths--about a missing woman, Moni's role in the disappearance, and how far her father had gone to protect her.

It's an insider's view of an island on the cusp of dramatic change as an influx of massive wealth causes turmoil for locals and transforms their lives.
