About the Author
American photojournalist Eve Arnold has traveled all over the globe photographing a wide range of subjects, from the rich and famous to people from everyday life. She strove to reach areas that were underrepresented, such as the civil rights and Black power movements, Arabian women in harems and hammams, the subject of birth, the poor, the old and the underdogs. Her interest in photography began in 1946, while working for Kodak's photo-finishing plant in New Jersey. Not long after, she became the first woman to join Magnum Photos agency, during which time she made her name shooting fashion. Her images of Marilyn Monroe, taken on the set of The Misfits (1961) are among her most memorable and encapsulate the 'curiosity' that she claims as her driving force throughout her career.Dimensions (Overall): 9.98 Inches (H) x 10.82 Inches (W) x 1.05 Inches (D)
