Georgia Boot has a long heritage of designing the most comfortable boots, purpose-built for your job. The Carbo-Tec LTX waterproof 8 work boot is packed with comfort features and extreme performance.Built with a welt construction, these 8 lace-up work boots are incredibly durable. The upper is full-grain SPR leather. It's 2 ½ times more abrasion resistant and three times as strong as traditional leathers. The heel features an abrasion resistant material with reflective striping and pull loop. The collar and tongue on this waterproof work boot are padded for added comfort. The kiltie keeps brush from getting stuck in your laces but can be removed for a more standard work boot look.Inside the boot is equipped with the guaranteed Georgia Boot Waterproof System. It's designed to keep water and muck out while remaining breathable. A soft performance mesh material lines the interior. The AMP LT insole is removable and features a layer of memory foam for all day comfort.The base of this 8 work boot is comprised of several layers. A double-ribbed steel shank provides arch support and added durability. A thick EVA midsole cushions and acts as a shock absorber with each step. The outsole is our proprietary heat, , abrasion, slip and oil-resisting Carbo-Tec Rubber. This boot has been tested to meet the electrical hazard standards for soft toe safety footwear as required by ASTM F2892.

    Frankenstein boots

    Love Georgia boots but found this work boot to be so uncomfortable that I can’t bear to wear them. The problem is the sole is inflexible

    Narrow fit in wide sizes compared to other GB

    I like the boot and the solid construction. Very supportive but I returned the boot due to fit. I previously and currently wear GB size 11.5, wide, but these boots in my size were very snug in width, even with a thin sock. I did not believe that they would break in to allow a comfortable fit, so I returned them. I also purchased the 12w version from another vendor and the fit was very similar- tight in the width, and returned those as well. I wanted to like this boot, but the narrow fit even with wide size is not working for me.

    Good Fit and Traction, Longer Break-In

    I’ve been wearing these on and off for about two weeks. The 9.5 Wide fits well and feels true to size. Traction is solid and the outsole doesn’t hold onto gravel, which I appreciate. Break-in has taken a bit longer than expected, and my feet do sweat some—even with wool socks—likely due to the waterproof lining. Overall, they seem durable and supportive; just expect some break-in time.

    super comfortable but needs work on durability.

    bought these boots about 6 months ago and fell in love with them instantly. comfort right out of the box (a first for me). I wear them doing construction and farm work. Held up great for a few months, but then the leak started and now i noticed the heel is seperating at the stitching where leather is sewn to the rubber and the sole has cracked where it meets the leather and is sewn together allowing water to flow right in.

    Poor stitching

    I bought these boots 5 months ago and the stitching is coming undone around the heal.

    Fell apart in five months

    Bought these because they were very comfortable. Now five months later, chunks are falling off the sole, they leak, and I've had to replace the insoles because the lining started coming off and bunching up under my feet.

    Love this boot

    I’m a controls tech. and I just bought a pair of these a few months ago. I love em, much needed. Very comfortable and the composite toe is really sturdy. Highly recommend

    These boots are terrible

    Bought these boots less then 2 months ago and the stitching in the back of the boot is already coming apart and it’s only a matter of time before the whole back rips out

    Not waterproof

    Comfortable boot & fit well. Purchased a while ago as a back up pair, only wore boots 7-8 times to good occasions. Wore them to work tonight and 15 mins in snow and my feet were wet. Not impressed

    I love them!

    I purchased these a while back. I do not weld and I don’t ride motorcycles in the rain, but, the first day I had them I dug a trench in a swampy, mucky section of my property. They are comfortable, they are waterproof, and 9 month old Rottweiler proof (so far). Great Boots.

    These are not WATERPROOF

    I have had this pair of boots for about a month. They are pretty comfortable, expect the left insole curls some in the rear. But today was the 1st time I got caught in the rain while riding my Harley to work. Well my feet were wet when I got to work, I only rode about 5 miles in the rain at 75mph.

    Weak

    These boots lasted me about 5 or 6 months and started falling apart. If you do a lot of welding they won't stay water proof for long.
