Great boot for all purposes when the grass is wet early in the morning or all day. easy to wear under rain pants without sweating, these things do not overheat your feet. I judge dog events and walk in cover with them. very comfortable. These boots are great to wear in warm weather temperature.

These are my first pair of Muck boots and I am very impressed with the quality and comfort. I use them for yard work. I liked them so much that I also purchased a pair of Muck Wetland calf-high boots.

A consensus of reviews say the boots run a bit large, and can be slippery. I actually bought these for my wife (Killdeer), at her specific request, for Christmas. She camps, hunts, and fishes. Here's what she says about the boots: "I like them roomy so that I can wear a thick sock. My feet are wide, and these do not come in different widths. The roominess is again a plus. My other Muck boots are not noticeably slick, but I have not worn them while crossing streams on wet logs, nor on wet rocks. The short boots are perfect for wearing around camp and around town. Easy no-hands on and off, and warm in cold weather."

Hi, and thank you for taking the time to share your wife's review of these boots! We hope that she enjoys wearing them while outdoors camping, hunting or fishing. Thanks again for your feedback!
Good. But fits larger than muckster shoes.

I’ve been wearing muckster low shoes for 20 years. Love them. Decided to also get muckster short boots. Was surprised that they fit a little larger. Had to buy inserts to get them to fit like my muckster shoes. But still happy.
Good overall - could benefit from enhancements

I like the boots. However they tend to run large in terms of the size. What would make this product EXCELLENT would be an arch support that would mimic the Birkenstock product.

This is pair number 4 over the years. I wear them year round from working on the garden, weed wacking or cleaning the barn daily.

Too slippery to be safe in all terrains

In spite of the aggressive tread these boots are slippery. Even when they are dry I feel like I am skating on hard surfaces like my laundry floor or rocky terrain. That is not what I was expecting and has not been my experience with past muck products. I wonder if they are old product and the bottom of the boot has hardened and lost its gripiness. In addition they are a bit too large. I actually measured my feet and purchased the appropriate size according to the size guide. I have about an inch of excess toe space. I actually wanted the neopreme “garden shoe” but that is no longer available so I bought the short boot instead. Another disappointment.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your feedback on our product. Out of the box this boot has a slight flocking on the outsole. This can be removed by scuffing the bottom of the boot on cement or pavement and is also removed with regular wear. We are currently out of stock on a few sizes of the Men's Muckster II Low in Brown - but have most sizes available in Black here: https://www.muckbootcompany.com/collections/mens-mucksters/mens-muckster-low/M2L000.html. If the color that caught your interest is out of stock, we offer easy sign up back in stock notifications on the product detail page. Simply click on or tap on the size of choice, then click or tap the Notify Me button to enter in your contact information. If slip resistance for light to moderate outdoor work is what you're looking for, we also suggest our foam EVA option for men, the Muckster Lite, which delivers lightweight comfort paired with SRC performance for every yard chore. https://www.muckbootcompany.com/the-original-muck-boot-company/men/collection/muckster-lite/

Did not hold up well to occasional use. Outer sole is wearing quickly and the inner heal material has already worn through. Nowhere near the quality of the old, taller version of this boot.

I was really looking forward to the easy on/off, convenience for winter chores. The rear pull tab loop is a very important feature, and I liked the large loop. Unfortunately, the heavy stitching to attach the pull tab loop causes a failure of the rubber material it is sewn to. Within two months of wearing a few times a week, the pull tab separated from the bottom leaving a large hole above the heel area, and no way to pull on the boots. These boots are absolute junk, poor design, poor quality.

My Muck boots were poorly constructed. One year and 2 weeks after VERY light wear, the seam failed rendering then not water tight. . I have read lots of reviews of Muck boots lasting 5-7 years; and others reporting the poor construction. I trusted the wrong reviews. Another pair of poorly constructed boots headed to the landfill.
