When I first tasted alone as a drink over ice I was NOT impressed at all but decided to try again by making frozen Pina Colada’s and OMG- best decision EVER!! It definitely tastes better mixing it with a sweet drink I tried it with pineapple juice and it definitely adds the Caribbean flavor to it. It doesn't hide behind added sugar which i appreciate. While its a bit too thin and sharp to be my primary neat sipper, it lacks that deep oily complexity of an aged. For the price its a reliable staple that punches well above its weight in any cocktail. The packaging is like any other rum, nothing too special about it. This is good on almost any occasion!

Some sweetness initially with rum and ethanol afterward. I think this would be a nice mixer. After a few minutes the ice has melted and smoothed the rum nicely. More sweet and caramel flavors.
