Description
Mumm Sparkling Wine Brut Prestige is the signature cuvée from Mumm Sparkling. The grapes for this California sparkling wine are harvested by hand during the crisp morning hours to ensure they arrive at the winery in pristine condition. The result is a relaxed yet elegant wine featuring aromas of red apple, juicy pear, nectarine, strawberry and a hint of biscuit. Its vibrant flavors are balanced by fine acidity and a rich, lingering finish. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at cool temperatures to preserve freshness and fruit intensity. After initial fermentation, the art of the blending begins. Our winemakers find the perfect blend of wines to create our signature taste. The wine undergoes a second fermentation, a 16-month yeast aging to add complexity, subtle bread dough flavors and layers of creaminess, followed by an additional 3 months of aging after disgorgement on the cork to fully marry the dosage with the base wine. This versatile and balanced sparkling wine pairs well with sushi, creamy cheeses, hors d'oeuvres, poultry, or enjoy it in a bubbly cocktail like a classic Mimosa or Spritz. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the elegant design of the bottle and way cork was secured. Once opened it had a very pleasant aroma. It had nice carbonation to it. As for taste I don't know if im the best for the test. I don't drink and I also don't like carbonated drinks. However I did give it a try it had a fruity taste to me but also the wine taste after that I don't like.but if I did like to drink this was a taste I would lean towards.

We chilled it and paired it with orange juice and had amazing mimosas. I would definitely consume it on it's own too though. It's got a refreshing flavor that I would imagine comes from the citrus, pear, and apple. I usually end up with a headache the morning after drinking any wine or champagne, and that was not the case with this... Always a plus! ;)

The flavor was lacking. It was too dry for me and bitter tasting. The Mumm Napa Sparkling Brut Prestige was sold out at my local store.

The flavor was bright, crisp, and refreshing — definitely a step up from my usual go-to bottles. It has a great balance of fruitiness and dryness that made it super easy to sip and really enjoyable. The price point is a bit higher than what I’d typically spend for an everyday wine, but for a special occasion or celebration, I think it’s totally worth it. I’d definitely pick it up again when I want to treat myself or impress guests.

The aroma that jumped out immediately was the apple, nectarines and strawberries followed with a hint of biscuit. I tried it two ways I paired it with sushi which complimented each other perfectly and I also had mimosas with the girls and that is where the wine actually was winning.

My only real complaint was how little carbonation it had, but that’s honestly personal preference. I would purchase this bottle again, though not on a weekly basis.
