About the Author

Malcolm Mitchell is a Super Bowl champion, literacy crusader, and the author of several acclaimed books for young readers, including The Magician's Hat, illustrated by Joanne Lew-Vriethoff, and My Very Favorite Book in the Whole Wide World, illustrated by Michael Robertson, winner of the Judy Newman Book Award. Malcolm is the founder of an initiative called Read with Malcolm, which introduces book ownership to students and works to improve literacy in schools.
